Dadaform completed the full renovation of this project, which included architectural design and detailed shop drawings for millwork, construction, management, and production of furniture and millwork. All products were manufactured at Contempo and shipped to Vancouver in a 40' container in less than two months. To ensure safe transportation, all items were carefully wrapped in export packaging and boxed with wood packaging. The shipment included everything a home needs, with the exception of flooring and drywalls. This includes small items such as AC grills and access panels, a full kitchen, interior frameless doors, vanities, shower glass, 10ft marble countertops, mirrors, as well as larger pieces such as walk-in closets and wardrobes.
Custom production of millwork and furniture took approximately three months, and it took 45 days for the container to be shipped to Vancouver. During this time, construction was also taking place. Everything was custom-made for this spacious 4-bedroom apartment, including a hidden Murphy bed in the living room with the option of hidden doors for complete privacy, transforming a section of the living room into a full bedroom.
The entire project was designed with a minimalist approach, featuring shadow reveals throughout the entire unit, frameless doors with Italian hidden chrome hinges, hidden indirect lights, and 25mm millwork panels with solid oak wood for the kitchen, featuring a 45-degree detail for the island and a cantilever countertop with a hidden metal sheet layer for support. All wardrobes were painted with Italian polyurethane lacquered finish. The quality and craftsmanship of this project is unparalleled in Vancouver, and it is one of the most minimal high-quality units in downtown Vancouver, featuring high-end materials throughout this beautiful place.
